ICANN is Looking for an Overhaul
Last Sunday, M. Stuart Lynn, president of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, proposed a radical restructuring of the organization that he says would create a more efficient, stable organization. Lynn's plan would eliminate the body's board of directors as it exists and replace it with a 15-member board of trustees: one-third nominated by governments, one-third through a committee process and the rest consisting of ICANN's president and appointments by four policy and technical groups.
